The ISIS Group, Inc. announced the addition of two Graham-Patten Systems SoundPals audio de-embedders. The ASDM-4 and ASDM-8 auto-sensing de-embedders offer a versatile way to ingest the various TV standards and de-embed up to eight channels of analog or four AES pairs of audio. The new units auto-sense the video format (HD-SDI or SD-SDI) applied to the looping input. A headphone output lets the user select and monitor stereo channels from any group. “Our customers are frequently working in an environment where they have several formats, with both HD and SD digital signals. Our new units support that kind of mixed environment by automatically adjusting to the input signal,” said ISIS President Len Dole. “We’ve had such a favorable response to our four other de-embedder models that we expect engineers will be happy to see these versatile units become available.” The new models are housed in the signature SoundPals 5.25”x1.625”x6.625” extruded aluminum package. Active looping HD/SD SDI inputs allow units to be stacked so that up to 16 channels of audio can be made available. The ASDM-8 has all eight analog outputs on Phoenix connectors for ease of installation. In the ASDM-4 all four AES3 outputs (2 channels each) are available on Phoenix connectors at the rear of the unit, and four AES3id (BNC) outputs are also available at the same time. Up to three SoundPals may be optionally racked in a 1RU frame with a central power supply, allowing convenient rack mount installation of multiple units. Graham-Patten offers a white paper titled “Your Digital Ear: Troubleshoot, Monitor and Meter Embedded Audio with SoundPals” which describes how de-embedders are used by system integrators and engineers.
