2001)--Thomas Klotz, CEO of KLOTZ DIGITAL AG, Munich, Germany,
today announced that KLOTZ DIGITAL America, Inc., a wholly owned
subsidiary of the German parent company, acquired Graham-Patten
Systems, Inc., Grass Valley California, in an asset purchase on
March 9, 2001. Graham-Patten is the manufacturer of the Emmy
award winning D/ESAM® digital edit suite audio mixers.
.Graham-Patten brings to the KLOTZ group an added focus on
the television and post production market, said Mr. Klotz.
Graham-Patten is one of the best known and most respected
names in audio-for-video. The Grass Valley facility will be expanded
to add needed manufacturing capacity for the KLOTZ VADIS
platform and related products.Howard Mullinack, President
of Graham-Patten Systems Inc., is named Vice President,Television/Film
for KLOTZ DIGITAL AG, responsible for the television, post-production,
and film market development worldwide, and will continue to manage
the Graham-Patten division. Howard is an industry veteran with 31
years experience in broadcast executive management, worldwide sales
and marketing, and product development.
For Graham-Pattens customers, the merger into KLOTZ
empowers us to provide them with more innovative products for the
post production and television market, in faster time, said
Mr Mullinack. Graham-Patten will continue to operate as a division
of KLOTZ DIGITAL America, Inc., from its existing facilities in
Grass Valley, California. All management and employees are being
retained under KLOTZ ownership.
